Caught red handed!

Or in this case “red beaked”
If you have ever wondered where the term “caught red handed” came from, wonder no more!
“Historians agree that the term originated in Scotland during the 15th century, when it was used to describe capturing a murderer who still had blood on his hands.”
We’ve noticed that the berries on our red currant bush have been disappearing in the last few days.
Now we know why!
Joe is getting his operation tomorrow to have part of his tail removed and we have been given the estimate of £1,100
We hope that our insurance will cover it, we pay £107 per month for Joe, but more importantly, we really hope the op goes well. All our fingers, toes and paws are crossed.
