I can see clearly

Visit to Daughter at their place above Dawlish and the visibility was exceptional but the view across the Exe Estuary was all that the phone's camera could manage. For the first time I was able to pick out the very top pf Portland Bill, which research shows is about 58 nautical ( or 66 statute ) miles away across Lyme Bay. A beautiful warm sunny day, but clearly rain is needed as the fields were turning a golden colour while the trees were obviously more resilient.
