Newtown

I took Hollie to the river today.

A nice warm day, perfect temperatures and she had a wonderful time.

The Hafren River (River Severn)  flows through Newtown and is spanned by the Long Bridge. My blip is looking from the Long Bridge towards the suburb of  Penygladdfa.

It was such a nice aspect I couldn't resist a photo.

Down by the river a Ukrainian family were relaxing and the children were swimming and wanted to play with Hollie. They swam with her, and threw the ball for her. I nearly cried. It must have been a nice diversion from the horrors of their homeland.

When I left I said thank you for playing with Hollie. They smiled, and said ' The pleasure is all ours'...


I feel humbled, and blessed, to live in a land that is relatively free from tyranny and war.

Long may it be so....
