RAH next to RCA

Down in Bedfordshire for a few days.
Son Greg’s birthday tomorrow, so although I was originally going to travel down tomorrow and stay just for the weekend, when he said his work place (The Royal College of Art) were having a preview of the end of year art pieces to students and staff, and he could sneak me in as a visitor, I jumped at the chance to see his work environment.

I was quite apprehensive about being in London as it must be 20 plus years since I’ve been, but it was a good journey down on the train and then across from Kings Cross to his work.

This picture of the Royal Albert Hall was taken through one of the exhibition room windows. It really is ‘just next door’. I went to a celebrity tennis tournament there many many years ago, it’s a fabulous building both from the inside and out!

The exhibition was really interesting to see. We couldn’t work out if photos were allowed or not, so erred on the side of caution and resisted the temptation.

A local day tomorrow for me while Greg works, but then we have a day out on Saturday.
