Moussaka and wrens

Someone who was doing something in the garden discovered a wren’s nest this morning.   I popped down to see it and there was a sweet little face peeping over the rim.  I went back with the camera but haven’t seen the bird’s face again. Second brood?  I read that wrens aren’t easily disturbed so she’s probably hiding down in the nest.  I won’t go back though I have often been clunking around that area so if I haven’t disturbed it yet it should be alright.

Chichester for the podiatrist mid morning and then into Petersfield to pick up food for supper. I got inspired to make Moussaka for dinner and then instantly regretted it as realised it would take a while.  An afternoon of zooms and stuff but I knocked off at 6pm and started cooking.  The food was on the table by 8.15 (all that frying aubergines) and it was delicious!  We ate outside and had strawberries and cream for pudding. Emma, who is editing a film with V is still staying so it was good to make a bit of an effort.

Extra is Emma and the moussaka
