Wet

Too wet to go out this afternoon. Even the veranda of the holiday lodge is wet.

Early walk was OK not raining then, saw 2 Peregrine low overhead looked like adult being followed by a noisy hungry juvenile with lots of begging calls.

I found the Spotted Flycatcher nest at Elterwater Bridge with food being delivered to a sitting bird at the cottages.

Lunch at Brambles Cafe above Langdale CO-OP is something of a last full day tradition and then goodbyes to familiar faces there and the CO-OP itself. Many of these people seem more like friends than acquaintances and have grown old with us over 25 years of visits.

Bedtime Update: It’s still raining nearly 11 hours of rain not always heavy but  very persistent - as we are travelling home tomorrow let’s hope it has stopped by then !
