Going With the Flow

There were three Gatekeepers on the Sea Holly when I first looked, and there was a reasonable amount of cloud cover, but, of course, I hadn't taken the camera out. Tried again later but it was much too bright, and later still but the wind had got up even more. This is the only image I kept from the first batch - I liked the way the Gatekeeper's scales had been lit by the sun as it turned slightly, and also its antenna was clear of the adjacent flower head. I've spent a while adjusting the various sliders to balance the scene better but eventually gave in to the "whiteness" and stuck a white vignette on. Not my normal processing for a butterfly but I might have got away with it, I think.
