Pool

Another hot one, although we did our yoga by the pool and had our morning swim before it became too much. 

Then we spent all day working, protected by the thick walls of the house, before taking another dip after work. 

And in the evening was the most wonderful thunderstorm, with accompanying rain, which gave us a cooler evening. 

After writing yesterday's Blip, I looked back at the same date over the years, as I sometimes do, occasionally startled by a picture of my younger self.

I noticed that July 1st last year was the end of my digital detox. Since then, I've never gone back to Wordle etc in the mornings, and I still only wear my Apple watch when running or swimming. 

I left Facebook years ago, but I've also given up Instagram and, like any sane person, Twitter / X. I do occasionally dip into BlueSky, but it still brings too much unsolicited anger into my life, despite trying to curate it for music. And the FT remains my newspaper of choice.
