Stained Glass

This window is not the easiest to photograph because it is behind closed doors.

The building is the Richardson Research Library at Martyrs Kirk and it is not open to visitors. The only way I was able to take a photo was to put my phone directly onto the glass which blocked most of the glare and reflections from outside,

The University of St Andrews bought the vacant Martyrs Kirk from the hutch of Scotland in 2012 and preserved and refitted the iconic building as a Research Library and Special Collections Reading Room.

Some of the seating was made from the former pews of the church and the pulpit and magnificent organ pipes have been retained.
