Snowdon Mountain Railway

Arrived to be informed there were 50 mph winds at the summit and that we could only go 3/4 way up and straight back down. We agreed that was ok. However, they did take us to the summit, it was extremely windy. We bought lunch in the cafe, then there was an announcement that wind speeds had increased, and the cafe was to be evacuated and closed! We had decided to walk down but it was tricky. We felt very sorry for all the people heading up, who had no idea they couldn’t get a hot drink at the top. We are both tired this evening.
