Off the leash

After having been on the leash since 1st March I allowed Caspar to enjoy some time off the leash. The breeding and nesting season is not clearly regulated in Germany, nor is the behaviour of dog owners with their dogs.
In some communities the dogs must be on a leash all the time, in others only in certain areas, yet in again others they must be controlled.
Most of the communities in this part of Hesse define the season from 1st March till mid June or end of June. So most probably you won't have a problem if you let your dog enjoy some freedom outside that time frame.

Caspar really enjoyed it. He went straight to the shadow part of the Gersprenz valley, but ran like a crazy pup when I "asked" him to come back.

It was good though, to have him on the leash too. One time with saw a fox, and later we met two roe deer, one of them just a couple of metres away.
