I do appreciate a well turned out policewoman… but it may be the first time I have appreciated one on horseback. Five mounted police were stationed right at the bus stop to “greet” supporters as they arrived.

I went to a local Dublin derby between St Patrick’s Athletic and Bohemians (see Extra). For €10 it was excellent value. 

It was an eventful day. I had lunch in a Lebanese restaurant I last visited in 2011. Sadly, they did not remember. It was superb.

In the afternoon I had to go out to buy toothpaste (senior moment during this morning’s packing phase). It started raining as I was on my way back to my room, so I grasped the opportunity to pop into Fallon’s for a quick refreshment. Wonderful. Also in Extras…
