Fourth of July - Independence Day

America’s birthday, the 4th of July

Kent spent his holiday morning cutting the grass in the backyard and also doing the two triangles of property.

I was on the back porch. I gave the water wheel fountain a good clean and then sat out there reading for a while and spending time with MiniMe.

We both spent a lazy afternoon inside.

This photo shows a sparkling lit up flag that I have in my living room window for the holiday. I’ve had it for several years but this is the first year I’ve remembered to get it out!!

Someone in the new neighbourhood behind us has bought a large quantity of expensive and very loud fireworks and are setting them off. I’m feeling bad for anyone with toddlers trying to sleep or anxious pets etc. I love fireworks but it’s a bit much.
