Met Ji for coffee and a scone this morning. We went to Tiffin to check it out following the change of ownership. No changes at all that we could see- it has always been very successful so not surprising really. Did some tidying in the garden and then walked down to get my nails done. Came home via the Avenue for shopping and then did some financial admin before getting showered and changed. Caught the bus to town to meet Ju and go to see Kinky Boots with Johannes Radebe playing Lola. He was greeted with rapturous applause as soon as he came on the stage, and played the part extremely well. However I somehow felt that the whole performance was a little lacking, though I couldn’t put my finger on why. I went to see an amateur performance a couple of years ago snd was very impressed, so maybe I was expecting more and, apart from Johannes, didn’t get it.
