A busy day!
It started with a bit of cooking to create meals for the freezer and then some potting up of my babies. I did the baby dragon fruit a while ago but today it was the turn of the baby succulents. No idea what this one is called but it has babies on the edge of its leaves and they fall off onto the kitchen window sill. I have been dropping them into a pudding pot with just some wet kitchen roll, but I decided that after surviving several months of neglect they deserved a bit of cactus compost. So I have 10+ potted up and most will be given away at some point. I have included a snap of the parent plant so you can see the babies in situ.
There is also a very small chilli plant that decided to germinate a couple of months after all the other tomatoes peppers and chillies have moved elsewhere. So that has also been potted on - it may have chocolate in the name but the chillies (if I get any) are not chocolate flavoured.
Another evening visit to the allotment (covered in jungle formula this time) to return the very posh red-handled flower scissors that had appeared under my rhubarb the night before. That took me to a part of the site I don't visit often, so I took the chance to check out the damsons (central picture). If you look closely there are a lot of very green damsons there so hopefully there will be a good harvest later.
The berries are from my plot - name and variety unknown but they are prolific and tasty and need picking every day at this time of year. I'm going to turn the garage freezer back on this weekend ready to store some of these goodies.
