Wound up in Wexford

John O'Groats in the rain

We travelled again today, in the rain most of the way.

First stop was a brief call at Dunnet Head - the most northerly point on Mainland Britain.  When thinking about it, I had suggested a walk - it's a good place to see birds.  But the birds were mostly sheltering, and we followed suit.

We drove on to John O'Groats, where there are car chargers - we added some rather expensive electrons to the car whilst sitting in a cafe watching the rain.  I had a short wander to get some photos.

We didn't stop after that except for a cuppa and a pack of crisps until we reached our holiday cottage just outside Strathpeffer.  It's lovely.

We unpacked, then drove back to Tain, where Mr A laid on excellent food for us, my daughters, and some friends, N and A.
