Bicycle book
An afternoon of stuff on Biscuit. 1st up was taking my Passport renewal to the Post Office for checking & sending off.
Second was popping into the supermarket for a couple of bits. On the way out passing the charity book shelf I spotted a title of interest - Richards Bicycle Book - a copy from 1979 no less and apart from a loose page, all intact. Am okay at maintaining my own velocipede but got it anyway out of interest and to sit next to his Mountain Bike Book from 1987. That one was purchased online to replace a childhood copy that 'went missing' many moons ago. Dad bought me the original copy at the Birmingham Motorfair in (checks notes...Ms.Arell & I have already discussed this...1988?)
Next up was bimbling over to Glossop to find some door catches in Wickes and whilst there, phoning some old friends who have moved there a few years ago - R & K - and calling to see them for a cuppa & catch up.
As the weather was warm and I was bimbling at moped speeds, not intending when setting out to stray that far from home, I hadn't really dressed for the occasion. Needless to say it had started to rain on & off by the time had come to set off home. The good this was that a dry stretch for the last mile almost dried out my jeans & sleeves, the screen keeping the rest of me dry!
Fish n Chips for tea because Friday :-)
