A Visit from an Anna’s

A very pleasant day in the yard;  the biggest outlay of energy went into setting up the yard umbrella. I even sat out there knitting for awhile. A long walk in the morning, a shorter one around 7, watermelon and potato salad to acknowledge the holiday, and early to bed - then a barrage of firecrackers woke me around eleven. I went downstairs and learned of the flood devastation in Texas. I suppose they’ll quickly reinstate federal relief cut earlier by DOGE, and make it sound like the Thump is the hero.
