Tiny Game Hunting 2...

Black Swallowtail caterpillar gobbling up the fennel plants. It looks just about ready to develop into its chrysalis stage. The second photo is what this hungry cat aspires to...an adult Swallowtail butterfly (actually it's a Pipevine Swallowtail, not a Black Swallowtail)visiting a Hamelia patens aka Firebush, a Florida native. Zebra Longwing butterflies and Hummingbirds also appreciate this evergreen perennial shrub. Special thanks to 'Girl With a Camera' for bringing that to my attention!  m
