New Tibetan Prayer Flags

Thank you to Pema and Lopsang, and for your many gifts, but mainly for your enriching company with many anecdotes about your lives as guides in the Himalayas. Both are family men and deeply religious. Prayers were being chanted in the yoga room for about 90 minutes this morning. Different family members have been in contact by WhatsApp from the Khumbu where one of the most important Sherpa festivals is happening. They miss their families when they are away for three months in the summer but it is a great financial gain for them, being paid for re-building paths on the Diablerets massif. They are now back in Gstaad, where they live for the summer, for a well deserved rest before returning to secure the paths on Monday. They will be back here before they leave again on 12 September, and on 3rd October we shall be meeting Pema in Kathmandu.
