Eurofighter Design

Thirty years ago I was promoted out of a job that I had really enjoyed.  I had been responsible for the cockpit displays and pilot clothing (including helmet) of the Eurofighter, now the Typhoon.

When I left the job I was given this tankard to remember the job.  I've never really checked whether the current pilots thought I did a good job, mainly because I was in it for only around 2 years, but also because much has probably changed since then; but it was exciting to be part of something new and dynamic.

The job that followed it, in MOD Main Building,  was nothing like as much fun – a bit too grown-up, perhaps.
