Lemon drizzle cake

Just on case the apple cake is inedible, I baked a lemon drizzle cake. Didn't rise very much. If anyone hears me say I'll bake the cake, remind me of this weekend ;-)
No training this weekend as our trainer is away training her dog. So I went and did parkrun, wasn't the best run I've done but since I haven't run for a fortnight I can't complain. I picked up a virus the weekend before last, I wasn't too unwell I took the odd paracetamol and apart from a really sore throat and cough, and husky voice, I just didn't feel like I had the energy to run. I've since read that these are the signs of the new COVID strain, I didn't test for it as I didn't feel that unwell. It seems the new variant evades immunity from previous infections and vaccinations.
It's been a lot cooler today and very drizzly, enjoyed watching live formula 1 from Silverstone on channel 4
