Was it worth it.
The answer is a bit fat yes.
We picked up our Canadian family from the train station and we headed down to the seafront
. First stop the “Harbour Bar” for ice creams then on to see the Spanish Galleon that’s anchored up in the harbour. The boys couldn’t resist a photo from the stocks, next the arcade clutching there dish of coins they headed for the machines ( a new experience for them) their pound lasted quite awhile.
Back in the car we drive to the church in the village for Mike to visit where his mum’s ashes are buried .
( Mike is Mr PC’s late sister’s son ).
Then it was home to meet up with the others for an afternoon of feasting, Carolyn was really pleased with the variety of gluten free baking I’d done -went down well with the others also.
Pleased to say they all left with doggie bags but still enough left to feed Mr PC and I for a week.
