Salmon fishing on the Findhorn

We went out today salmon fishing on the river Findhorn. Our ghillie was old friend and semi-professional fisherman Campbell who gave us a crash course in casting and directed us towards the best pools where the salmon should have been lying.

Despite seeing quite a few fish jumping, we came home empty handed but had a great time all the same. I came closest as I had briefly a fish on the line but it slipped away despite the warning shouts from the bank from the three regular fishermen who were watching us.

This is my dad, who fished a lot in the past, showing he has not lost the knack.
