On This Day

Out to Aberfoyle this morning for a walk in the woods and a bit of time in the bird hide. There were three red squirrels and countless small birds. I've added the siskin as an extra but largely because the rushed snaps I took of the nuthatch weren't great. There were so many siskins and chaffinches.  Just as we finished our walk the rain started. We were lucky to complete the circuit before that happened.

The woods were looking lush. Moss, lichen and flowers on the forest floor and birds in the tall trees. There were lots of visitors but the majority were going on the zip wires not enjoying the peace of the woodlands.

Our meal last night was a treat. Everyone enjoyed the flavours and it wasn't at all greasy as restaurant curry tends to be. It was far superior to anything you'd buy in a restaurant round here and very much better value.

I'm off to do my yoga routine soon and potter about a bit. A good Sunday afternoon's activity.
