Minstrel's Nemesis

The moth has moved to above the front room window now. In the light of the very wet weather we have today I decided I'd ask Brian to get my steps from the spidery part of the cellar and I climbed up to get a shot of it.

It is a Meal Moth which is quite a boring name for such a prettily marked lepidoptera. They're also known as a Scorpion Moth which also makes little sense. 

We decided to get the weekly shopping done today - may as well since the weather has been too wet for us to go anywhere more interesting.

It stopped raining long enough after lunch to have a little walk in the Arboretum for Brian to find a Blip. I was happy to stick with this but went for a walk anyway.
