RAIN!!

Some, maybe most of you will be thinking “What’s he so pleased about?”.  Well, we haven’t seen any rain since May, and the water tank is (was) empty, and the lawn parched.  Neighbours have been digging out dead plants.
 
So at nine o’clock this morning this morning, when I woke up, there was to a welcome steady downpour and rain on the bedroom window.
 
The main attraction to me is our water tank (installed MANY years ago when a third of our side lawn was a vegetable patch and we had a greenhouse).  It’s been empty since some burk tried to fit 150 gal of water into the water feature, and it didn’t fit!  With 8.6 mm of rain it’s about one third full.  We are expecting more rain this evening and tomorrow morning, so hopefully the tank will be filled by then.
 
Roast pork for dinner tonight.  No crackling, we’ve eaten it already (we’ve given up trying to keep some to have with the meal . . .  :-))   )
