Sandsend.
A damp start but we decided to stick to our plan nonetheless. A ride across the moors enjoying the purple verges. A pitstop for petrol and supplies by which stage the weather began to improve. So a ride to Sandsend where Blue Badge holders obtain free parking (a bonus).
A walk along the coast for coffee and a scone before I parked R whilst I had a short walk on the beach. I love the texture of the old groynes as nature reclaims them. The Lifeguards were keeping watch and I spotted an abandoned toy digger (see extra). The main is the first photo I took over the valley and stream which opens on the beach.
Then home for lunch and a walk this afternoon before catching the end of the Tour de France.
