Brown Banded Carder Bee on Field Scabious (according to Google).
We've had 6mm of rain this afternoon and then the sun came out and dried it up again.  The air smelt fresh afterwards and it's much cooler and more comfortable too.   The BBC weather app says we should have more rain in a lilltle while.
