VSCC - Event

G had let me know that the Vintage Sports-Car Club were having an event today, starting at Blakeney and following a route that took the drivers by a number of WWII airfields in the area. Heavy rain and thunderstorms were forecast, but I decided to risk it, then I spotted GracieG and then JohnRH joined us. The photos in the collage were all taken when they were (eventually) leaving Blakeney Garage, which in addition to being a normal garage, has a showroom which displays their collection of classic cars. Don't ask me what the cars are as I'm not interested in sports cars, a dull looking car came in the garage whilst I was there and I was reliably informed that it was a very expensive Maserati!!! I've also added an extra of two dogs that were taking part! We were lucky and the rain didn't start until after the start and I was back home. We had 2.8mm of rain then, but the storms stayed away despite being in the area and it was a largely dry afternoon. Unsurprisingly I've been watching the tennis again. Sonay Kartal played well and wasn't overawed by playing on Centre Court, but her opponent was too good. Cam Norrie is in a classic five set match and is up 4-2 in the final set.
