Thank you

This isn't my picture, it's not even today, but it's a characteristic picture of me at work on a Sunday. Except this was a Saturday.

A couple of years ago, I did a fundraising "Play all the hymns in our hymn book" event - 1 verse of every hymn in our new hymn book, a couple if people were singing, all 847 of them plus an own choice favourite to finish. (as the last hymn in the book is a gentle chant type tune which was unresolved) and one of the mums of a family who've attended All Age services and Messy Church regularly all the time I've been organist spent quite some time taking pictures at several points across the day. I've got some great ones of me and the children giggling madly at me doing Christmas songs at the Wrong Time of year, evidence I stick my tongue out when concentrating, and several bossy moments as I was waving arms to celebrate a particularly well sung verse or two, or faces pulled at wrong notes.... and even more of the church in general. The fact she got so many shots without me knowing was testament to how careful she was about not disturbing me at work, but also how hard I was concentrating on the hymns/songs I knew less well.

Taking pictures was something she absolutely loved doing, and she regularly sent me pictures for our social media pages. 

Today we had confirmation of the news we'd been expecting for quite some time that she had died. 

This is one of her pictures - I have no qualms at sharing it as she told me they were mine to do as I liked with.
