Planning

After I’d returned from the optician and I could see again once the eye drops had worn off (do I really want to know that in 10 years I will need cataract removal?) I got down to the business of virtually recceing the Arles Way/Camino Aragones.

I found a significant discrepancy with my accommodation and the route just after Jaca. I’m hoping this is because there is now a new route enabling pilgrims to visit the spectacular monasteries of San Juan and Monte Oroel without having to scramble up a mountain.

I know once I start it will be fine and I’ll deal with the unexpected pragmatically, a couple,of days in Pau before I start will be good, and gives the temperature some time to go back to tolerable.
