Home win!

Another tense end to a race. Piastri (who Jo knows as the one Lando had to give a win to (Hungary 2024)), got penalised for erratic driving behind the safety car, and so after the team failed to overturn the penalty asked them to tell Lando to let him through as his penalty was unfair, and then they could race! What????? The first time I think he's shown his true colours and the pressure of Lando closing on him for the title. Additionally it has now emerged that when Lando hit the back of him in Canda Piastri was having problems with his engine "derating" so going slower in a straight line than Lando would have expected. Knowing that Piastri left no space and let Lando take all the blame. More than ever I want Lando to beat him. But whatever the end result Lando has won Monaco and his home race which is a massive achievement.

Beau was flat out on the floor (as Jo was sitting in 'his/Mr T's seat) so I led next to him and he nuzzled his head right in and put one of his paws into my hand. 

Jo was better today and told me all the things she told me had happened yesterday couldn't have happened. I have been asking her if she's got her repeat prescription as I suspect she's not taking her tablets again. 

Anyway, well done Lando, who now has another scar on his nose, and so lovely to have a Beau snuggled up for most of the race. To see him so happy and smiling, tears of joy in the pen interview was so special after so many times earlier this year when he was turning himself inside out.
