The new care home

We went down to Aldi for some fruit, veg and essentials this lunchtime and on the way back stopped at the care home we visited yesterday. The crowds and cars and balloons had all gone, so you see the place in all its glory.

I was very impressed with everything, including the staff that I spoke to. It is beautiful inside, so different to the homes that I have seen over my years of nursing. This is care home with the upper floor for residents with dementia, not a nursing home.

I didn’t take any pictures yesterday, but the one in extras is from the brochure that we were given as we left.

I didn’t sleep well last night. Just too much of everything. I will take the paracetamol before I go to bed to prevent the muscle aches.
