Smoke tree ‘Grace’

At last my smoke tree has produced panicles of tiny, insignificant flowers which give the shrub its name because they resemble a haze or smoke rising from the plant. These were more obvious today because they were covered in tiny drops of water which sparkled in the sun.
There was quite a good number of folk at church today and when visitors join us it helps to swell the numbers. After the service I went up to the community orchard to collect Bertie and Nick. Nick is making progress with the little “Hobbit house” that he is constructing for children who visit the orchard.
