Ride with father in-law

So after 12 months of his bike, I thought it was time for my father in-law to get back on the steel horse. 
So 12 months ago he went out on a ride that was to long and to far, they ended with a bit of a bad fall of his bike. 
So after 12 months it was time together past the excuses and get back out there. The ride was longer than I thought and smiles all round. 
I have just received a text from him to say thank you, he really enjoyed it and feels his confidence has returned. 
It's nice when you help someone close, you get that fuzzy feeling, like you have passed something on and helped someone get past a stumbling block.
