Garden Flowers

It has been hot and dry for a while now, our Ox Eye Daisies have been beautiful but some have wilted and were lying on the ground. Mrs I cut them and popped them in a vase, they look quite nice.

We have had a busy day in the garden, trimming and pruning some really tall shrubs. When they reach the power lines and telephone wires you know it's time to take action. 

I managed to do the business without getting any shocks or losing internet connection, but it needed great care and I am relieved it is done. 

A car load of garden waste will be taken to the recycling centre tomorrow.

We had a break in the afternoon when there was a brief shower, but not enough to make much of a difference. The lawn looks like the Serengeti at the moment. I water all the plants, pots and baskets, but not the grass, it would take too much  and we are on a meter.
