Standing Out in the Gloom and Doom

Another dark gloomy day with no sunshine. The cold eats though you.

I didn't get anything done this afternoon as our house alarm went off. It wasn't set. We haven't used it since having Mickey the kitten as he climbs all over the place so didn't want it to go off. I was outside when it went off the first time. I thought it was next doors one. John came running out telling me to turn It off. Which I did. A few minutes later it went off again. That happened several times more even after turning it off at the mains.

I rang my son who said, can you open the box to see if the back up battery was in it and not in the roof like some are. In the end my son ride his bike over from work and unconnected the back up battery. That solved that problem...but now the garage door will not work as it was connected to the alarm system. Another complication of not having the old garage door opener as it was broken so was throwing out many years ago. The code on the original door opener is needed to get a new one. You can open the door from inside the house which is something as I wouldn't have been able to get my car out tomorrow morning at 8am to take it into the service centre to get fixed. 

Hopefully after having the third thing go wrong we will have no more. Luckily I tried the garage door opener otherwise being away early tomorrow morning and finding it didn't work. 

To top all that off I got another migraine just after my son left. Probably all the loud alarm sounds upset my brain. It sure is a very loud sound.
