Stairs #8: Metal stairs at Kew

This is one of two metal staircases in the Palm House (1848) at Kew Gardens. The Palm House was the first glasshouse to be built on such a huge scale in the UK. It was also one of the earliest large-scale applications of wrought iron, not only in the overall structure of the glasshouse but also aesthetically, as you can see in these beautiful spiral stairs.

Back blip from yesterday.
Thank you to JacZero for hosting MonoMonday on Metal.
