Agapanthus

I stayed home for most of the morning as the window cleaner came, the windows had not been cleaned for months and were filthy. I wish he had come a few weeks ago as we leave to go to Switzerland on Thursday so won't be around to enjoy the sparkling clean windows! The fire alarm also had to be serviced so I had to wait in for the engineer to come do that. 

It started off with some rain this morning but then soon cleared to sunshine and it is warm once again. After thinking my agapanthus had all died, I noticed there are a few coming out - but certainly not in the numbers that were originally planted. I do like it when they are at this stage of still opening up.

I am about to go up to London to meet Gavin - who has been at work all day despite officially retiring last Monday! To be fair there are things to finish off. We are going to the theatre tonight to see Till the Stars Come Down which, it is on it's second run having transferred from The National to the Haymarket Theatre and has had good reviews so I am looking forward to seeing it.

And I watched the final episode of The Handmaid's Tale...so good! The journey of Offred is not quite over, production has already started of the new series of The Testaments which was the sequel written by Margaret Attwood.
