Mick’s Tree

This blasted oak tree is near the fourth green on the golf course. Still known as Mick’s Tree despite Mick Bishop having sadly passed on five years ago during Covid. He always aimed for this tree to get over the stream before turning his attention to getting onto the green. I only call it a blasted oak because it has been hit by lightning and lost some of its trunk. A mallard was nesting in it a few weeks back. I was concerned as to how she was going to get her ducklings down safely…
