Painted Lady #7

We took a little trip out to Martin Mere this morning but the few birds that were around were quite distant - Marsh Harriers, Swallows, and even a Kingfisher. Instead there was a buddleia bush outside the discovery hide that had quite a few species of butterfly, with this Painted Lady, my first of the year, being the freshest of the bunch amongst many Red Admirals.
We stopped off at Lunt Meadows on the way home to see the Wood Sandpipers that’s been around for a few days - success :)
