Metal
It’s Monday and all the usual post holiday chores and more to be done. Very windy again even though we are well inland now! and the 3 loads of washing dried in no time. Shopping done, the Little garden has survived, although the lawns look like the Somme.
2 of my lovely cousins are visiting Shropshire for a few days and coming to see us so I’ve been cooking some little delights including Blipper Sandra Suisse's delicious Brownies and for their creation I’ve used the mixer with two metal paddles, which will do for the MonoMonday prompt today, thanks to JacZero for hosting.
Today has seen commemorations of 20 years since the 7/7 London bombings on the London transport system, killing 52 people and injuring over 700. Listening to Radio 4’s memories this morning, Gill Hicks a young Australian survivor was giving her account of how she coped with the events and her survival, I was in awe of her’s, and so many others’ bravery. Her book is called ‘One Account’ and I purchased it on Kindle. Apart from a day full of world news and tennis there was also sad news of Raynor Winn, Author of ‘The Salt Path’, who is currently having to face up to allegations of misrepresentation etc. I loved her book and the film – hopefully the truth will out.
Extra: Brownies
