Yay!

Tony has spotted the goldfinches in the mini meadow a couple of times but I have always missed out.  This morning, however, they were back enjoying the seeds from the plants which have gone over.  They looked to be feasting on the knapweed, hawkbit, sorrel and grass seeds.  Not the best blip through the glass, but good to record the scene and the mini meadow doing its thing.

It's been a busy old day which began for me at Physio down in Bingley.  I walked down to the health centre and tried out my knee running three sets of two minutes whilst still in the Estate.

Tony came down to meet me for a cuppa at Craft Cafe so we could pick up the dry cleaning, our two winter duvets which are now aired and away.  Then it was time to feed my plants in pots, hang out washing and set about the bacon sarnies.

After lunch we were up to the allotment to pick more fruit.  An hour at a time is enough for that so I came home and mixed up some grout to try out on the practice mosaic in the drying ground.  It sort of looks okay but we shall see if it is weather resistant.  It is definitely a job for the grown ups!

That done I took Tony a cuppa in the allotment and relaxed for an hour before getting ready for the Hobbler outing to Shama for a curry evening.  It was a fund-raiser for the local hospice and sounds to have been very successful with the restaurant owner providing the food at a much reduced price.
