A Very Warm Day

I met my friend Phil for a walk at the Arboretum this morning. It was clear and already a bit warm. These are Fireweed (Chamaenerion angustifolium)

which are prevalent here in western Oregon - they seed like crazy, but a field full of them is something to behold!

It's warmed up quite a bit this afternoon - 89F/31C now, at almost 5 pm. It will cool down decently tonight with another warm day tomorrow. Thankfully it will be a cool day on Wednesday for my class!
