Do The Funky Chicken . . . Rufus Thomas

We have left Wellington and driven to the Wairarapa to stay near Riversdale on the farm of a friend.  Finn is going to a holiday programme today and tomorrow then having a mini break away with mum and dad. We catch up again on Sunday.  I will get the camera out tomorrow.  I have been putting Finn first and using the phone because it is quick.
We had a lovely lunch with friends who live in Masterton. Smoked trout, what a treat.  Last stop was to see our friend at his house and that's where the hens Pic came from. Victoria bought a clutch of fertilised, heritage eggs and they hatched into mostly black birds with two beautiful brown ones. There are two speckled ones as in the picture which are exotic looking.  There did seem to be a lot of roosters :-)
