Snake in the Grass
We met Luke at the farm today to organise some work he is going to do on the fences.
I went to check the garden and almost trod on a black snake. That's not a common sight in midwinter and it was very still so I didn't know if it was dead or hibernating. It looked too healthy to have been dead for long and I couldn't smell anything (nothing smells worse than dead snake).
Mr isbi (with hoe) was called upon to investigate and it proved to be yet another victim of ensnarement in the mesh.
