Common European Yellowjacket

We went into town this morning, for breakfast and to get some odds and ends.  
 
An afternoon of cross stitch, otherwise my baby sampler will never get finished; our great grandson is now fourteen weeks old!
 
Today’s picture, has been identified as a Common European Yellowjacket; looks like a Wasp to me!
