Mum, my sisters and I went to Buis-les-Baronnies, a beautiful town in the Drôme Provençale. There, my aunt had rented a big "gite" with a restaurant and a swimming pool to celebrate her 80th birthday. There were 45 of us, including most of my cousins. It was a really lovely day (and evening for my sister and I, since we spent the night there). The surroundings are beautiful. There is a via ferrata near-by (extra 1- if you zoom you can just about make out someone between the two small pics) and the meal was delicious. After eating we swam, relaxed round the pool - there were a lot of butterflies attracted by the lavender (extra 2), some played petanque. Then most people left, mum got a lift back from my elder sister and her husband, but my middle sister and I stayed and so did many of my cousins. We played games, ate (as if we were hungry !!), chatted - it was really enjoyable to spend time with my family.
