Nicky and her Nikon

(Not a Brimstone)!

Gavin and I thoroughly enjoyed the play Till the Stars Come Down last night, it all takes place on a hot summers day at a wedding and explores the themes of bigotry, racism, love and the economic struggles the family are facing. A superb cast.

I had a long walk with Xena this morning and there were quite a few butterflies about - I saw some peacocks but they were very skittish, and instead I managed to photograph this Brimstone. I have since been told that this is not a Brimstone but a large/small white.

We leave for Switzerland on Thursday for about 6 weeks so I started packing today as there is so much to take. Of course my camera equipment is the first thing I pack...

Luke signed the contract for his new job today, he has been in the process of interviews for it over the past few weeks, and he was really hoping to get the job but there was a lot of competition so he was not sure if he would be successful. Thankfully he heard on Friday that he was selected for the job. He currently works long 12 hour days, and the new job will be no different, if anything there will be more responsibility and more pressure but he is very excited about it.

We are going to friends for supper tonight - they will be joining us for a few days in Switzerland later in the summer and are also bringing their dog, who Xena gets on well with.
